JAMES W. (JIM) SMITH

Graveside service for James W. (Jim) Smith, 80, of Rusk was at 1 p.m., Thursday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Arnold officiating under the direction of Wallace- Thompson Funeral Home. Mr. Smith died May 8. He was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Swan.

Mr. Smith was a Rusk resident most of his life and a member of the Rusk First Baptist Church. He was in the restaurant, tire and roofing business. He worked at Oregon State Hospitals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Nina Pearl Webb Smith, step-father, Earl C. Jones and several nieces and nephews. Survivors are his wife of 41 years, Mildred Smith of Rusk; and a son, Lee Smith of Jacksonville.
