CCT's TNT camp to include teenagers
BY SHEILA O'HEANEY

Moira O'Heaney Debbs, Laura Eden and Anne Cox portray three kittens during a recent civic theatre workshop. The Cherokee Civic Theatre will hold its annual TNT camp for kids June 11-23. This year's camp will expand to offer a program for teenagers. Those wishing to attend may obtain registration packets by calling (903) 683-2131.
This year, Cherokee Civic Theatre's annual TNT summer youth camp is expanding to serve high school students with its TNT PM program.

"We have a number of young people who have grown up through TNT who are now entering high school," said camp Executive Producer Debra Petri. "A number of them are asking to stay involved in the theatre arts, so we're expanding our camp."

Castanya Elledge is the director for TNT PM. Students entering grades 7-12 are eligible for TNT PM, which will run June 11-23, the same time as TNT's afternoon camp for grades 1-6. The Grand Finale Showcase for all age groups will be Saturday, June 23.

Open registration is underway through May for TNT. There are limited spaces, so registration is on a first come, first served basis. The TNT camp fee for the two weeks is $25 for CCT season patrons and $35 for all others. Contributions from underwriters keep the camp affordable. This year's underwriters include: Austin Bank, Black Bear Realty, Chapman's Pharmacy, Judy and Kelly Garner, Sarai Johnson, the Ross kids, Glenda and Ed Bruce and Diki and Jerry Parker.

Those wishing to request a registration packet may do so by contacting Cherokee Civi Theatre at (903) 683-2131.
