NEWS health fair May 23 East Texas Medical Center Rusk will host a free heart health fair from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 23. The fair will provide an opportunity for area citizens to learn the symptoms of cardiac arrest and what to do in the event of a heart attack. There will be free EKG screenings given to the first 24 who register. The Olympic Center will be open for information and instructional tours. EMS will display an ambulance and a paramedic will be available to answer questions about new EKG technology. Door prize drawings will be held. Class of '87 meets June 23 The Rusk High School Class of 1987 will celebrate its 20th year reunion Saturday, June 23. The event will begin with a picnic for the entire family at Jim Hogg Park at 11 a.m. The main event will be from 7-11 p.m. at the Woods at Jacksonville (formerly Cherokee Country Club). Swimming lesson planned at City Pool Swimming lessons are planned to begin with the first session from June 4-8. Other sessions will be June 11-15, June 18-22 and June 25-29.
