Bass Tournament slated

The Gallatin Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a team bass tournament from 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, with a 70 percent pay back. Cost is $60 per boat with four anglers per boat. Sign up is at 5 a.m. at the boat launch at Lake Jacksonville.

Pay outs will include first place for eight boats or less; second place for 9-16 boats; third place for 17-24 boats; and fourth place for 25 boats and up. A $10 per boat big bass pot will be optional. Door prizes will be given away at weight in. Fish must be all large mouth bass and must be 18 inches long and spots can be any size. Shiloh slates memorial

service May 20

The annual Shiloh Memorial Day service will be held Sunday, May 20. The homecoming celebration will be at the Shiloh Pavilion two miles west of Alto on FM 752. Those attending are asked to bring a lunch. There will be a brief business meeting immediately before lunch.
