Gabriela Tavera, 11, k a sixth grader at Nichols Intermediate School is first place winner of the poster contest. Her teacher is Deborah Cooper. Cherokee County students competed in the poster contest. Gabriela received a $100 prize for her entry in the contest. Rafael Garcia, second place received $60 and Rylan Morris, third place received $40.
