JACK SCRITCHFIELD

Funeral for Andrew Jackson (Jack) Scritchfield, 85, of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Hallum officiating. Burial was in Neches Cemetery.

Mr. Scritchfield died Sunday. He was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Frankston. He was a retired truck driver for Red Ball after 35 years and a member of the Afton Grove Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth Rebecca Scritchfield and Adlene Scritchfield; a daughter, Bettye Ann Scritchfield; and granddaughter, Gina Renee McBride.

Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law, Becky and Ocie McBride of Houston and Melba Jane Scritchfield Lufkin; a brother, James Earl Scritchfield of Henderson; two grandchildren, Dana Simmons and Jody McBride; five greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were Keith Bristow, Wayne Bristow, George Bennett, Mark Bennett, Bill Bennett, Michael Champion, Brandon Champion and Kevin Simmons. Men of Afton Grove Sunday school class III were honorary pallbearers.
