BARBARA HANDLEY DETWILER
She was a resident of Rusk for two years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a seamstress and employed by a telephone company for several years. Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter and Ollie Handley,; a daughter, Phyllis Anita Farrow Wells; a brother, David Handley; and a sister, Nora Myrick. Survivors are a daughter, Mary Frances Farrow Kelley of Rusk; a son, John Detwiler of Dallas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nadine Ingram of Jacksonville, and Mary and Robert Lee of Reese; two granddaughters and husbands Christy and Greg Stewart of Lufkin, and Myra and Ronnie McCreight of Rusk; three great grandsons, Preston Stewart and Wessley Stewart of Lufkin and Aaron Riley McCreight of Rusk; a sister-in-law, Jean Handley of Tyler,; an aunt, Lena Ray of Palestine; cousins, nieces and nephews; close friends Mr. and Mrs. Travis Etheridge of Reese. Honorary pallbearers were Robert E. Lee, Travis Etheridge, Larry Coker, Charles Owen, Johnny Reagan and Edward Reagan. |
