Master Gardener group hosts plant sale, garden tour

The Cherokee County Master Gardener Association will host its semi-annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Stripling Clinic parking lot, 555 Jackson St., Jacksonville. The Master Gardeners have selected unusual and decorative plants that grow best in the Cherokee County area and are suited to local climate and soil conditions.

Trees, shrubs, perennials and annual flowering plants will be for sale.

Also sponsored by the Cherokee County Master Gardeners is the Third Annual Garden Tour of homes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 5.

All yards on the tour are on or near O'Keefe Road in Jacksonville. Charge is $5 per person. Proceeds will be donated to HOPE.
