Grand Jury indicts 13

The Cherokee County Grand Jury returned 13 indictments when it met in March.

Among those indicted were:

+George William Gossett, 21, of Henderson, charged with failure to register as a sex offender, was sentenced to three years deferred probation and court cost.

+ Miguel Angel Garcia, 35, of Gallatin, charged with evading arrest, was sentenced to two years in the state jail, attorney fees and court costs; also charged with driving while intoxicated with a child was sentenced to two years in the state jail.

+Vincent Donnell Johnson, 44, of Tyler, charged with burglary of a building, was sentenced to two years in the state jail and attorney fees.

+James Brian Shuttlesworth, 30, of Jacksonville, charged with forgery of financial instruments, was sentenced to five years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice and court costs

+Brandon Harper, 23, of Jacksonville, charged with driving while intoxicated subsequent offense, was sentenced to eight years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice, probated for eight years, attorney fees and court costs.

+Terry Lamont Montgomery, 43, of Jacksonville, charged with manufacture/deliver of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 25 years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice and court costs.

+Timothy Germany, 23, of Alto, charged with failure to stop and render aid, was sentenced to three years deferred probation with counseling.

+ Timothy Scott Morgan, 41, of Giddings, charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, was sentenced to three years deferred probation, fine and court costs.

+Susan Lynn Green, 42, of Palestine, charged with theft of property of more than $1,500, was sentenced to two years in the state jail, probated five years and court costs.

+Christopher Chase Christie, 22, of Jacksonville, charged with driving while intoxicated with a children under 15, was sentenced to 12 months in the state jail, court costs and attorney fees.

+Oliver Byron Thompson, 81, of Longview, charged with three counts of injury to a child, was sentenced to five years unadjudicated probation, fine and court costs.

+Tonya Annette Boyd, 37, of Tyler, charged with aggravated assault, was sentenced to two years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice and court costs.
