Eagles fall to Central, Hudson
BY LELAND ACKER STAFF WRITER

The storm rages on for the Rusk Eagle Baseball team. Since being routed by the Crockett Bulldogs on March 20, the feathered flock has struggled to regain momentum and consistency.

The Eagles lost to the Central Bulldogs 14-2 on Wednesday.

"We are not the same team we were two weeks ago," said Head Coach George Banda. "You name it, it is happening."

Friday the Eagles lost to Hudson 8-2.

"We are still making too many errors. We can not make the routine play," Coach Banda said.

During the Hudson game, Adam Hicks had two hits and an RBI, while pitcher Chance Davis picked up a couple of hits of his own.

"Davis threw well, better than what the score indicated."

Hudson got on the board in the 2nd inning, taking a 3-0 lead. The Eagles scored in the 3rd, but Hudson responded with three runs in the bottom half of that inning to go ahead 6-1. The Eagles finished strong, scoring a run in the top of the 7th to finish the score at 8-2. Rusk falls to 3-4 in district with the second round of play starting this week.
