8 teams compete in annual Doug Jordan Relays in Rusk Thursday

Lady Eagle Le'Asha O'Neal sails high in the long jump competition at the Doug Jordan Relay last weekend at Eagle Stadium in Rusk. She jumped long and well in the event but failed to place. The Lady Eagle team placed fourth in competition with three students winning gold medals with one winning two medals. PHOTO: LELAND ACKER April Shedd races to victory in the 800-meter run. Shedd won gold by finishing the race in 2:34.32. She also won gold in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:59.10, and was a member of the 1600-meter relay team which won 5th place with a time of 4:34.82.
