JAMES FRANKLIN (BUBBA) TAYLOR

Funeral for James Franklin (Bubba) Taylor, 66, of Dialville, was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Swilling officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery. Mr. Taylor died March 29. He was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Jacksonville. He retired from New Summerfield ISD and was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his father, William A. Taylor. Survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis and April Taylor of Athens and Dell Taylor of Dialville; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Donnie Currie of Rusk; his mother, Evelyn Taylor of Jacksonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, R.L. and Bonnie Taylor of Doyline, La. and Beryl and Barbara Taylor of Jacksonville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Horace Oden of Elgin and Carol and Danny Reed of Waco; six grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Shane Steffy, Brianna Knowlton, Andrea Knowlton, Ashley Taylor and Colton Currie; two stepgrandchildren, Tyler Marker and Kaylee Marker; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jay Taylor, Bruce Taylor, Butch Morris, Russell Harris, Kenneth Snodgrass and Jason Fry. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Ellis and Charlie Brumitt.
