TONY LUVERENZA MONMOUTH Funeral for Tony Luverenza Monmouth, 70, of Jacksonville was at 1 p.m. Saturday at the North Bolton Christian Church with Pastor James L. Kemp and the Rev. Billy R. McClelland and the Rev. Kirk Grant officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Mr. Monmouth died March 24. He was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Rusk County to the late Dellas and Cinderalla Williams Monmouth. He was reared in the Gallatin and Elm Grove communities. He graduated from Fred Douglass High School in 1956 and attended college in Los Angeles, Calif. He worked for Nan Travis Hospital, J.B. White Co. and retired from TXU Electric Co. after several years. Survivors include his wife, Pauline McCoy Monmouth of Jacksonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Toni Rachael and Chris Ekwenugo of Arlington, and Risa Kaye and Bennie Coleman of Palestine; a special nephew, Rasheede Whitaker of Jacksonville; a sister, Imogene Hughes of Rusk; three sistersin law, one brother-in-law, three grandchildren; three aunts; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were Sedric Whitaker, Bruce Walker, Vernon Ward, Fredrick Whitaker and Rasheede Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of North Bolton Christian Church. |
