HELEN RUTH PERDUE

Graveside service for Helen Ruth Perdue, 89, of Alto, was at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Alto City Cemetery with Josh Lindsey officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Perdue died Sunday. She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Crossett, Ark. to Marcus and Emma Maxwell Smith. She operated a small grocery store and dress shop in Alto many years ago. She also worked as a health care provider. Preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas A. Perdue Sr.

Survivors are a son and daughter in-law, Tommy and Charlotte Perdue of Alto; a granddaughter and her husband, Amanda and Ty McCarty; and two great-grandchildren, Chandler McCarty and Cade McCarty.
