VIRGINIA (JENNY) GOWIN

Funeral for Virginia (Jenny) Gowin, 82, of Jacksonville, was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Leon Ross officiating. Burial was in Jarratt Cemetery. She died March 9 and was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Jacksonville.

She was a retired plastic production factory worker and a member of the Craft Baptist Church.Preceding her in death were her husband, Arlon Gowin and twin sons, Ray and Roy Gowin. Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Jan Gowin of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dr. Robert O'maine of Jacksonville; two sisters, Ruth Merritt and Datie Driver; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Rob Gowin, Brian Gowin, Toby Gowin, Eddie Gowin, James Arrington and Jarrell Morton.
