LEADER MAE TURNER Funeral for Leader Mae Turner, 96, Rusk, was at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodville CME Church with the Rev. Lymell Carter officiating.Burial will be in Session Cemetery under direction of Mercy/McGowan Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Mrs. Turner died Feb. 28. She was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Cherokee County and was a lifelong resident. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of the CME Church, having served as church clerk, stewardess, president of religious education and a member of Mission Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband.Survivors include sister, Viola Wickware, Houston. Pallbearers were Marcus Session, Larry Session, Aaron Dwight Glenn, Archie Lee Session, David Wickware and Ray Session Jr. Honorary pallbearers were stewards of Woodville CME Church, deacons of Chapel Hill Free Will Baptist Church, grandsons of Bell and Tina Session, S.D. Turner family men, John D. Griffith and Mr. Johnson. |
