BY ROY REYNOLDS

Committee members working on the first Rusk bridal show include in front from left Tara Crosby, Flossie Nixson and Penny Reynolds; in back, Connie Brown, Teresa Langley, Karen Loden. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, in the old Baskins Building in downtown Rusk. A variety of items necessary for a wedding will be on display.
If you have a wedding in your future, plan to attend Rusk's first Bridal Show from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the old Baskins Building, across from the courthouse, on the square in downtown Rusk.

There will be jewelry, tupperware, baskets and dishes, cosmetics, beauticians, men's and women's special occasion clothes, chapel, bed and breakfasts, travel and tours, flowers, cards and party accessories, catering, cakes, foods of all kinds, as well as many other items.

To make the show even more fun, there will be approximately six free raffles each hour for wedding specials. Persons must be present to win.

Karen Loden, chairman assistant for the project, came up with the idea for the show. "Rusk merchants are very pleased to be able to prove that you don't have to go into the big city for your wedding needs. This is the first of what we hope will be an annual event," Mrs. Loden said.

Both she and Connie Brown, chamber office manager, have put in hours to make this event a success.

The chamber has expressed appreciation to James Perkins and Citizens 1st Bank for allowing the use of the building; Roy Reynolds, advertising, Waller Broadcasting, Robert Gonzales with KWRW Oldies 97, Cherokeean Herald, Jacksonville Daily Progress, and all the vendors.
