PRESS NEWBURN JR.

Funeral for Press Newburn Jr., 87, of Flint was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Pesnell and Eddie Napps officiating. Burial was in Bullard Cemetery.

Mr. Newburn died Feb. 28. He was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Jacksonville. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the County Line Baptist Church at Flint.

Preceding him in death were a son, Pat Newburn and a grandson, Scott Newburn. Survivors are his wife, Cecil Newburn of Flint; a son and daughter-inlaw, Mike and Brenda Newburn of Tyler; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Maurice Costlow of Palestine; a sister, Christine Jackson of Tyler; seven grandchildren including Keith Newburn of Bullard; 16 great-grandchildren; four greatgreat grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Rick Hayes, Jimmy Bain, John Langston, Lewis Newburn, Tony Hayes and Rick Kinsey.
