ROBBIE NELL SLOAN

Memorial service for Robbie Nell Sloan, 74, Wells, was at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home, Lufkin, with the Rev. Billy Jackson officiating.

Mrs. Sloan was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Garrison to Robert and Mildred Hancock Jones. She was a member of Eastern Star in Woodville and Woodville First Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 56 years, Dean Sloan, in August 2006.

Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda "Cappie" Myron, Candis Sikes and Stacie Hodges; son, Sheldon Sloan; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four stepgrandsons.
