DORIS L. ALWELL

Funeral for Doris L. Alwell, 73, of Jacksonville was at 10 a.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clifford Taylor and the Rev. Jan Pate officiating. Burial was in McKnight Cemetery at Cushing. Mrs. Alwell died Feb. 21. She was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Cushing and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Andrew A. Alwell; a son, David A. Alwell and a sonin law, Tom Johnson.

Survivors are three daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia A. Newman and Teresa L. and Jeff Bailey of Houston and Diane M. Johnson of Jacksonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Charlotte McKnight and Max and Inez McKnight, all of Jacksonville; a sister, Helen Powell of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; one greatgrandson; several nieces and nephews; and Anne and Matt Hill of Houston.

Pallbearers were Jeff Bailey, Andrew Johnson, Duane Dominy, Noel Dominy, Charles McKnight and David McIntyre.
