CARRIE B. CARTWRIGHT LACY

Funeral for Carrie B. Cartwright Lacy, 94, of Jacksonville was at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 in the Sweet Union Baptist Church with her grandsons, the Rev. Ulysses McCarvin and the Rev. Ike Roberts officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Plain Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Mrs. Lacy died Feb. 18. She was born Feb. 11, 1913, in Jacksonville and was a lifelong Jacksonville resident. She was a member of White's Temple Church of God In Christ in Jacksonville. Preceding her in death were her husbands, three sons, five sisters and five brothers.

Survivors are four sons, W. L. Garrett of Center, Sam Garrett and Lee Garrett of Bullard and A. J. Garrett of Beaumont; three daughters, Odessa Montgomery of Frankston and Eddie Ruth Hicks and Olivia Cameron of Chandler; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Darryl Hicks, Von M. Cameron, Dexter Garrett, Douglas Garrett, Lee Edward Garrett Jr., Tyrone Tilley, Charles Tilley and Bobbie Earl Tilley. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Garrett, Lee E. Garrett, Fletcher Hicks, Martin Cameron and Marcus Davis.
