JANET SLIDER

Funeral for Janet Slider, 56, of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Friday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. R.S. Dyess officiating.

Mrs. Slider died Feb. 19. She was born July 23, 1950, in Hohenwald, Tenn. She was a clerk at Rusk State Hospital and a Baptist. Preceding her in death was her father, Howard (Cookie) Cook.

Survivors are her mother, Louise Cook of Jacksonville; a daughter, Jennifer Cook of Jacksonville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Michael Cook and Randy and Rebecca Cook of Gun Barrell City and Mark and Judy Cook of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tommy Murray of Jacksonville; a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Cook of Jacksonville; nieces and nephews, Patti Murray, Amy Murray Lynn, Katie Cook, Molly Cook, Chloe Cook, Jeff Cook, Casey Cook, Brandon Cook, Kevin Cook; a great-niece, Presley Cook; and special friends, John Chance, John Cook and Randy and Dodie Salmans family.

Pallbearers include Steven Bateman, Cory Fowler, Ben Hamilton, Bobby Stark, Mike Traylor and Jimmy Zednick. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Matthew Vierkant and staff, Dr. Lieberman and staff and Texas Jaycees.
