GENE HENDRY

Graveside service for Gene Hendry, 76, was at 2 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Trampus Black officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.

Mr. Hendry died Feb. 20. He was born Oct. 13, 1930, in Trent. He was a cattle and livestock dealer, a member of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army Korean War.

Preceding him in death was a son, Wade Keith Hendry.

Survivors are his wife, Ann Hendry of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene Kent and Martha Hendry of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Joshua and Angela, Jason and Adam; greatgranddaughters, Makala Kate and Emalee Kate; a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Doyle Whitehurst of Longview.

Honorary pallbearers were Men of Woodlawn Heights Baptist Church, Larry Reneau, Larry Osborn, Sid Danner, Oscar Smith, Alan Johnson, Gilbert Stafford and Parker Stafford.
