Seventh grader does well at Rusk Junior High

Jasmine Clemmons is a seventh grader at Rusk Junior High School. She is an honor roll student and has received certificates for exemplary behavior, President's Education Awards program, merit award for dependability, positive attitude, service, scholarship, citizenship and a spirit of cooperation. She is also enrolled in the AVID program. Her TAKS results show 2,319 out of 2,400. She has made one B and the rest A grades this school term.

Jasmine participates in volleyball, basketball and track and other activities. She live with her grandparents, Juanita and Jessie Simmons. Her grandmother said, "She is a very loving and considerate granddaughter. We love her and encourage her to continue her education and finish college. The sky is the limit for her if she continues to apply herself."
