AUBREY EUGENE SIPES Funeral for Aubrey Eugene Sipes, 79, of Jacksonville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jacksonville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon R. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Sipes died Feb. 18. He was born April 24, 1927, in Dallas and moved to East Texas at the age of three. He served in the military from Aug. 1945-48, spending time in the Marshall Islands. He worked as an ironworker and welder. He was a member of the Jacksonville First Baptist Church, Adult 6 Sunday school class, Golden Jubilee, Jacks 'n Jills Square Dance Club and ETMC Volunteer Auxiliary. Preceding him in death were his daughter, Aleta Jo Brannon; parents, Richard and Jimmie Sipes; a brother, J.R. Sipes and sister, Una Witherspoon and Lola Berry. Survivors are his wife, Jean Moody Sipes of Jacksonville; two sons, Larry E. Sipes of Fountain, Colo. and Robert W. Sipes of Grand Saline; a sister, Faye McNair of Dallas; three step-sons and a daughter-in-law, James Moody of Porter, Joe and Anne Moody of Bullard and Jackie Moody of Mount Enterprise; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Alvin Coleman, Jim Eyre, Jack Williams, Gerald Gray, Jimmy Tankersley and Kenneth Melvin. Honorary pallbearers are member of the ETMC Auxiliary.
