Sylvia Willis Lett's new novel set for release

Sylvia Willis Lett's new novel, "Perfect for You" will be released on March 6. She has signed a two-book deal with Dafina Books, a division of Kensington Publishing. The novel will be sold in bookstores nationwide, including WalMart. Ms. Lett is the daughter of Mattie Willis of Rusk. She is a 1982 Rusk High School graduate and a 1984 Tyler Junior College graduate. The Irving Black Arts Council has commissioned her to bring her play, "I Wish I Had Waited," based on the novel, to Carpenter Performance Hall in Irving at 7 p.m. April 7. Auditions for the play were held Feb. 3 at Holford Recreation Center in Garland. This will be the third curtain performance for the play. Ms. Lett is employed at Capital One Bank in Dallas as a systems analyst. She resides in Dallas with her two children, Michael II and Courtney.
