Austin Bank Rusk names Long new vice president

Austin Bank Chairman Jeff Austin Jr. announced this week that Larry Long will join Austin Bank on March 5 as a vice president and will serve as location president of the Rusk office.
Mr. Long comes from Cherokee County Teachers Credit Union where he served as manager/CEO since 1994. Mr. Long has more than 25 years of management experience with financial institutions in Cherokee County.

Mr. Long, a lifetime resident of Rusk, is a graduate of Rusk High School and Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Long is a member of the Rusk Chamber of
Commerce, past board member of the chamber and past president of the Economic Development Corporation. Serving Rusk Economic Development Corporation. Serving on the church council and as a trustee, Mr. Long is an active member of First United Methodist Church
He and his wife, Beth, have two children, Stacy and Neill. Mrs. Long is employed by Region VII Education Service Center in Kilgore as a Head Start assistant director. Austin Bank, a community bank with headquarters in Jacksonville, has in excess of $796 million in assets with 22 offices in nine counties throughout East Texas.
