FROM THE TOP
Am I stupid? Simple minded? Uneducated? Does believing in God make me an uninformed hillbilly? Does believing that He made the world in six days, flooded the world and saved Noah through the Ark make me guilty of ignoring "scientific" evidence?

Consider the following. In an article reported by Reuters on the Web site Yahoo.com on Feb. 6, two buried skeletons were found embracing each other. The article stated they had likely been there 5,000 years.

The skeletons were likely those of young people, based on the condition of their teeth. So how do two young lovers die at the same time, and get buried in an "Eternal embrace?"

I have a theory on that. You see, fossilization and the preservation of skeletons requires a rapid burial. When people and animals die, and they are not buried, their bodies decay rapidly, and bones are scattered by scavengers. So rapid burial is necessary for this type of occurrence to take place.

The same is true of dinosaurs. The dinosaur fossils we find today had to have been rapidly buried. I say that because without burial, their bodies would have decayed and scavengers would have scattered the bones. (Ever notice that dinosaur fossils always seem to be found in one place. Isn't it interesting they would all go to the same place to die?)

So, how did all these dinosaurs and these young love birds get rapidly buried?

That is where my theory comes in. You see, approximately 4,400 years ago, there was a flood. This was a worldwide catastrophic flood where waters overtook the earth rapidly, moving mountains, hills and sediment.

The animals and people caught up in this were not only drowned, many were suddenly buried alive with the seismic activity caused by this flood.

The Bible records this flood in Genesis 6-7. Noah and his family were saved from the flood because Noah found grace in the eyes of God (Gen. 6:8), and by his faith (trust) in God, he built the ark (Hebrews 11:7), as God had instructed him.

So what about everyone else? Every imagination of the thoughts of their hearts were evil continually (Gen. 6:5). God hates sin, but he saves those who turn from sin and trust him. This is done by faith in Jesus Christ.

The flood was real. These skeletons prove it. Dinosaur fossils prove it. In almost every culture, there is a story about a world-wide flood. I see the evidence and believe it. Does that make me stupid?
