MIKE MIDDLETON Funeral for David Michael (Mike) Middleton, 52, of Rusk, was at 3 p.m., Sunday at the Wallace Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial was in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery. Mr. Middleton died Feb. 7. He was born May 6, 1954, in Gainesville. He lived most his life in Rusk and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. He was formerly employed by the City of Rusk as Hogg City Park Superintendent. He was formerly employed for Lon Smith Roofing in Fort Worth as a roofer and owned and operated Middleton Roofing and Construction Company in Azle. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and Sons of the American Revolution. Preceding him in death was his father, James Lindy Middleton in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Middleton of Rusk; two sons, Cole Middleton and Micah Middleton both of Azle; a daughter, Jewelle Middleton of Azle; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers were G.M. Berry, Billy Edwards, Ken McClure, Gary Vaughn, Danny Berry and David Berry. |
