ELIZABETH BURNS

Graveside service for Elizabeth Burns, 89, of Jacksonville was at 1 p.m. Monday at Larissa Cemetery with Pastor Richard Rutledge officiating under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Mrs. Burns died Feb. 9. She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Myrtle Springs. She was reared in the Reynolds Presbyterian Home for Children in Dallas and was a retired librarian. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were three grandsons, Kyle Burns, Steven Spurger and Eddie Grimes.Survivors are a son and daughter-inlaw, Jerry and Carolyn Burns of Jacksonville; a daughter, Cynthia and Richard Little of Bullard; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were Timmy Spurger, Michael Spurger, Jacob Rutledge, Taylor Burns, Jamie Burns, Joshua Spurger, John Spurger, Jordan Spurger, Joshua Bohannon and Kyle Bohannon.
