S. J. MCCREIGHT

Funeral for S.J. McCreight, 70, of Rusk, was at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Don Copeland and the Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. Burial was in the Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery.

Mr. McCreight died Feb. 4. He was born May 1, 1936, in Rusk to the late Sam J. and Mollie Beachamp McCreight. He was a lifelong resident of Rusk. He was a Baptist, a carpenter by trade, a ranchers helper and a hunter.

Survivors are two brothers, Charlie McCreight of Jacksonville and Oba McCreight of Houston; one sister, Virginia Dickson of Rusk; two nephews, Sammie Dickson of West Valley City, Utah and James Dickson of Irving; and other relatives. Pallbearers were James Dickson, Rick Adams, Josh Childs, Mark Davis, Charles McCreight and Harold Helm.
