JEWELL THELMA JENKINS Funeral for Jewell Thelma Jenkins, 101, of Jacksonville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home chapel with Ben Dan Thompson and Shawn Montandon officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemtery at Gallatin. Mrs. Jenkins died Feb. 10. She was born July 17, 1905, in Anderson County. She was a homemaker, seamstress, artist and writer and a member of the Mont Selman Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her husband, Edgar Jenkins; brothers, Alphis Cotton, Raymond Cotton and Ottis Cotton; and sisters, Letha Jenkins, Elanor Johnson, Jessie Dement, Ila Harper and Laneta Philen. Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law, Delores Northen of Jacksonville and Doretha and Ben Dan Thompson of Whitehouse; a brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Betty Cotton of Jacksonville; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Raye Allen of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren and 22 greatgreat grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Danny Thompson, Terry Sarders, Ben Alexander, Brent Allison, Todd Carson and Michael Ruby. |
