Graveside service for Robert J. (Bobby) Dudley, 69, of Dallas was at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jarratt Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Morris Sheats Morris Sheats o f f i c i a t i n g . Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home. A memorial service was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Epithany Episcopal Church in Richardson. Mr. Dudley died Feb. 5. He was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Jacksonville to Edward and Thelma Dudley. He was a builder his entire life starting out with his father. After moving to Dallas he formed general construction company, development and masonry companies. He was a home builder, a consultant for FDIC and RTC and numerous banks. He and his wife designed builder home projects. He taught Sunday school, was a lay pastor, senior lay pastor and eventually a district pastor. Preceding him in death was his father, Edward Dudley. Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Maxine Dudley; his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Richard Porter; his two sons and daughter-in-law, Brad Dudley and Barry and Jayne Dudley; a stepson and step-daughterin law, Brent and Kristi Young; his grandchildren Nick and Sarah Beth Porter, Beau and Bennet Dudley, Brock and Taylor Dudley, Blake and Bailey Young; his mother, Thelma Dudley; and two sisters Mary Lynn Harper and Tricia Dudley. Pallbearers were Burr Davis, Wayne Dudley, Luther Jackson, Elray Meyers, Ed Smith and Nelson Wall.
