SYBIL VAUGHAN DICKEY Funeral for Sybil Vaughan Dickey of Bullard was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with Dan Manuel, Donnie Barron and Glen Cogburn officiating. Burial was in Bullard Cemetery. She died Jan. 31, in Dallas after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 28, 1946, to Verdell and Lois Vaughan. Mrs. Dickey was employed at Joe Wright Elementary School in Jacksonville for 13 years. She was an active member of Ponta Church of Christ, and was an avid supporter of the Walk for Life. Survivors are her husband, Louis Dickey of Bullard; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Brenda Dickey of Troup; three grandchildren, Kaleb, Tyler and McClane Dickey of Troup; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie and Karen Vaughan of Bullard and Freddie and Tammy Vaughan of Troup; one sister and brother-in-law, Sallye and Terry Cowan of Bullard; and several nieces and nephews; her extended family, Sara and Lamar Slover, Laura and Sarah Dupree, Chance and Charlie Moore and Mason and Taylor Fredrick and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Jackie Slover, Scott Moore, Wade Fredrick, Doug Dupree, Charles Ray and Gary Tipton. Honorary pallbearers were Wilson Folden and Jim Franklin.
