ORA FAY TOLBERT

Funeral for Ora Fay Tolbert, 98, of Jacksonville was at 1 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Buck Newsome officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery.

Mrs. Tolbert died Jan. 30. She was born Aug. 15, 1908, at Craft. She retired after 39 years as a teacher at Jacksonville ISD, Craft and Dialville. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, DAR and AARP. Preceding her in death were her husband, V.F. Tolbert; her parents, William Thomas Wallace and Mary Lena Jackson Wallace; a step-daughter, Amelea Slusher; brothers, Clarence Wallace, C.W. Wallace, J.A. Wallace, M.O. Wallace, A.B. Wallace and W.D. Wallace; and sisters, Flora Lewis and Minnie Mae Jones.

Survivors are two step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous greatnieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Robert Ivy, Darrell Wallace, B.R. Wallace, B.T. Wallace, David Wallace and Matthew Wallace. Honorary pallbearers were Jasper Lewis, M. E. Wallace and Alvie Jones.
