Quartet visits Rusk church Feb. 25 First Baptist Church will host an evening of inspiring Christian music at its' finest when they open their doors for Shiloh in concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25. Celebrating 10 years of ministry and considered by many as the premier male quartet from the State of Texas, Shiloh is a group who is definitely "on the rise" in Christian music today. The history of Shiloh has given them an unusual and very unique position in Christian music. Shiloh first came together out of the same local church and choir ministry, and they have been blessed with an extraordinary and unbelievable storyline. Through diverse personal circumstances, God brought each member together from four distinctively different walks of life and He has placed in each of them an incredible vision for people. Collectively, it has always been Shiloh's desire to bring laughter, encouragement, joy, and true sense of victory in Christ to all music lovers and concert goers across the country. Through their personal walk and declaration of their relationship with Christ, added and blended with their unique musical talent, Shiloh has an exceptional way of sharing a very real and relevant message of the personal need for Christ. Because of their dedication and faithfulness of service, God has produced a ministry that has reached far beyond the borders of their home state of Texas. Shiloh's ministry now extends around the world. During the ministry life of Shiloh, they have had the opportunity to perform and minister to hundreds of thousands of individuals nationally, as well as internationally. A testimony of that impact was their participation in ministry of opportunities during the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney, Australia, as well as their recent missionary journey to Venezuela. With the completion of their seventh recording project, Shiloh is on the path to even greater success as they celebrate 10 years. Their accomplishments and recognitions continue to grow. From 2004 to the present, Shiloh has had five consecutive singles reach the Top 80 radio charts, and their single "Take Me To Jesus" reached the Top 40. They have also been nominated by Singing New Fans as Top Five nominee for Horizon Group of the year in 2005. Shiloh as also recognized by SGM Fanfair I US Gospel News fans as a Top Five nominee in 10 of the 21 music categories at the 2005 awards. What makes this group so special is how their program encourages individuals through testimony and incredible songs. Shiloh has been able to bridge a gap stylistically and provide all age groups with a great variety in music styles. More important than the style of music which is performed, Shiloh's ministry illustrates how relevant a real relationship with Christ can be, and how important and wonderful worship of Christ is in the life of a victorious Christian.
