Rotarian and Cooperative Extension Agent Rene' McCracken introduced her former manager, insurance agent and Jacksonville Rotarian, Brent Stahelin. He has been a field representative for Woodmen of the World for 18 years and it was quite apparent that his tenure with the company had helped him develop the skills necessary to identify his customer's priorities and help families protect or achieve their financial goals. He stated that "most of us wouldn't dream of not having insurance on our homes or autos, yet very few are even aware of the new long-term care policies that have been developed to protect the assets many have spent a lifetime accumulating."

He shared personal stories of the issues he and his family dealt with, which although were not an up-lifting presentation, were a great dose of reality since statistically almost 50 percent of households in America will at some point require extended care at home or in a nursing home.
