Relay for Life committee slates run for April 27

Date for the 2007 American Cancer Society Relay for Life for Cherokee County has been set for April 27, 2007 at Mauldin Field, Jacksonville High School. The date was set Sept. 11 at the first planning meeting Sept. 11.

Additional committee members are sought and a "Name the Relay Theme" contest is underway.

Local residents are asked to send their ideas for the theme by e-mail, fax or regular mail. Details for the contest will be announced later.
