Caddoan Mounds to hold formal tours

Formal museum and trail tours will be held at Caddoan Mounds State Historic Site beginning at 9 a.m. Mar. 3 and April 21. These days will be reserved to devote 3 hours to a formal tour of the Caddoan Mounds S.H.S. museum and 0.7 mile trail.

The museum will not only have its normal decor of murals, pictures and artifacts; but will have an assortment of historical pictures on display, including verbal interpretation of the site's archeological past studies.

A thorough examination will be given in the importance of archaeological research and surveys, purpose in the importance of this historic site and connection to how modern day history can relate.
