Volunteers are sought for upcoming theatre productions

The Cherokee Civic Theatre is looking for volunteer directors for the 2008 season of shows and the TNT (Thespians 'N Training) summer camp.

Four show directors and one musical director are needed. Shows will include a fall musical (requiring show and musical directors), a holiday show, a February 2008 and April 2008 show. Person who have a particular script they would like to direct, may present it to the board for consideration. For those who have always wanted to direct, the board be able to find a show for them.

Deadline for application is March 15. Volunteer directors are being sought to work with the TNT (Thespians 'N Training) summer camp. There will be three troupes of children, grades 1-3, grades 4-6 and grades 6-9.

Also, an executive producer is needed to oversee the camp's program which will run in June (dates to be announced later). Experience with theatre arts and working with children is required. Also counselors are needed to help the directors. Counselors can be high school students or adults. No experience is needed. It's learn as you go.

Since CCT is an all-volunteer organization, the show directors, TNT directors and TNT counselors are all volunteer positions.
