THOMAS B. (BRIT) ALEXANDER

Graveside service for Thomas B. (Brit) Alexander, 75, of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery in Clifton with the Rev. Bill Schivler officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander died Jan. 11. He was born Aug. 5, 1931, in Texarkana, Ark. He worked for Lufkin Industries for 30 years.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church, a former member of First Baptist Church in Lufkin and Central Baptist Department 5 Men's Sunday school class.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas Webster and Mary Brittian Alexander and step-grandson, John Russell Rains.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Smith Alexander of Jacksonville; a step-son and his spouse, Acie John and Mary Rains of Katy; a step-daughter and her spouse, Patricia Raines and Don Darby of New Summerfield; step-grandchildren, Patti Love, Jennifer Darby Lambrick, Kelly Snyder and Lauran Darby; and step-great-grandchildren, Justin Love and Sydney Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers were Department 5 Men's Sunday School class members of Central Baptist Church.
