Members of the Rusk City Council are expected to call the election at their October regular meeting. The clock is still ticking in a suit filed by the City of Rusk against W.R. Bowden and his son, Kevin Bowden. In June the city council set a July 1 deadline against the Bowdens and established a $200 per day fine for every day that trailers are located on the North Main Street property. President Jim Cromwell presided and a budget for 2008 was adopted.
