County's $19 million budget will be funded Friday

      The 2007-08 county tax rate will be set at a special called meeting of the commissioners court at 10 a.m. Friday in the county courtroom at Rusk. Commissioners will conduct a public hearing prior to the adoption of the tax rate.

Rusk council meets Thursday
      The Rusk City Council will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at city hall to consider a 22 item agenda. The agenda includes approval of the budget, setting the tax rate and approval of water and sewer rates for local customers, as well as Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Rusk State Hospital.
