During my most recent escapade to Colorado Springs, Colo., I had the opportunity to watch Daystar and TBN television with my in-laws. There were preachers preaching to massive congregations with beautiful facilities. Some of these were good preachers. Some had their own issues. One gentleman was unintelligible. He kept preaching about "time. More ... When Betty Tosh Miller visited our office recently, she brought with her a copy of the May 10, 1951, issue of this newspaper. What a flood of memories the 12-page edition revived. She had found it in her mom's collection of "stuff." Only another pack rat can understand another pack rat. More ... The dog days of summer have arrived on El Camino Real and many folks are just trying to stay cool and not worry too much about the growing grass or the flower beds that are burning up in the August heat. It costs too much to water and I don't think it would do much good anyway in this heat. More ... |
