The Lon Morris College Dance Team attended the American Dance/Drill Team Collegiate Nationals Competition in Denton in early April. In the Collegiate Soloist Division, first runner-up went to Katherine Segapeli of Shertz. Charlea Grundy of Jacksonville, Jodi Hicks of Deer Park and Jenny Harlow of Trinity all received division I soloist ratings. The Lon Morris Dance Team received a division I rating and placed 5th. Participants included the soloists listed above as well as Deidra Wallace of Jacksonville, Ancheska Parchman of Tyler, Crashanda Hubbard of Center and Layna Hamilton of Trinity.
