Congratulations on your pending wedding. Unlike many other newspapers, the Cherokeean Herald does not charge for engage­ment and wedding coverage. However, please read our policy regarding what to include when you contact us.

• The number of column inches for weddings is a maximum of 18 column inches.

• We reserve the right to edit and condense the material so that it fits into the space outlined above.

• Wedding forms must be e-mailed, or typed and mailed. No hand-written forms, please.

• Wedding forms must be submitted within two weeks of the wedding. After that deadline, we will include only a photo and cutline without a separate story.

• Photos should be high resolution and in the JPEG format. Do not embed a file in Microsoft Word or ask us to downloand an image from a website. Those photos are only 72 dpi, and we need a minimum of 200 dpi. Photos should be a minimum of four inches wide

• We are most interested in the “people” angle. Who were the attendants? Where are they from? What are the bride and groom’s ties to the community?

• Please do not include detailed descriptions of apparel or decorations because it will not fit in the space allotted.
